CONEXANT HD AUDIO DRIVER DISABLE UPDATE
You can do the same for any Updates by uninstalling or rolling back via System Restore, then run the HIde Updates tool to catch and hide the Update before it starts to install.

CONEXANT HD AUDIO DRIVER DISABLE HOW TO
Here's how to block drivers from Automatically installing: I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP, here to help you. I have scoured my pc's and deleted every Conexant file I can find in the registry and all program files but the damn thing is like a virus that can't be killed, surely this can be solved with a simple update, come on Microsoft this is not good enough sort This is obviously an issue which other people are experiencing and I can't understand why Microsoft hasnt addressed it yet, or why the Conexant software is there in the first place. I have followed all the advice from numerous online forums including the official Microsoft and Lenovo advice but I simply cannot stop the Conexant drivers reinstalling and making the sound awful again. I have even deleted all the Conexant program files and registry entries and disabled the scheduled tasks and start up programs. The problem is that if I rollback the Conexant drivers to the Microsoft ones or uninstall the Conexant ones they automatically reinstall,

The ridiculous thing is that the Microsoft divers work perfectly distinguishing between the on-board speakers and the jack and producing much better sound as well as making all the enhancements work. It also disables all of the sound enhancements bass boost, loudness equaliser etc, and makes music virtually unlistenable due to the terrible tinny sound produced. In short they make the audio output sound awful and don't distinguish between the on-board speakers and any external speakers or headphones plugged in to the audio jack. I am having a serious problem (as are many other people I'm sure) with the terrible Conexant Audio Drivers and Smart Audio HD, I have 2 Lenovo laptops both running Windows 10 with all the latest updates.
